The Band
Curbstone was formed in the summer of 2004. A man by the name of Bob Schomaker decided to gather together the greatest talent he could find to create a band that would rock the Midwest. Through his search of over 40 candidates, he found four extremely talented musicians that would eventually be called Curbstone.
Jared Sonder - a locally renowned drummer from northern Nebraska
Chris "Roach" Gianunzio - the insane California born bassist
John Arvin - an amazing guitarist and music major out of UNL
Robbie Mau - the power vocalist from southern Nebraska
A week after officially being together, Curbstone exploded onto the world by the way of having their first, and last, opening gig for a popular local band. Word spread quickly of this new band in town that overtook the spotlight and fans of their main attraction counterparts. Quickly booking a plethora of shows, Curbstone found themselves a must have in local venues. Time past and Curbstone had there first opportunity to open for a national act. The Naked Beggars (containing former members of Cinderella) came to a venue that was filled with Curbstone faithful. Malibu Rum, a Jagermeister sister company, was promoting a new product this night. After the amazing show Curbstone performed, the representatives from Malibu got in contact with Adam Grayer. Adam, a representative of Jagermeister music, was immediately impressed. A new Jager band was born.
After only a little over two years of being together, Curbstone has found themselves in high demand. Booking up to six months in advance, opening the Jagermeister Music Tour with Stone Sour, Lacuna Coil and Shadows Fall, becoming a seasoned Jager band, receiving radio airplay in Nebraska (KEXL 106.7 The X & KIBZ 104.1 The Blaze) and New York City (The All Knowing Force), TV spots (Dan Egan's Wild World, NH), and Robbie's exciting in-prompt-to performance with the members of national act LUCE has been some of the accomplishments Curbstone has achieved with only the help of their own ambition and drive (and of course their great fans).
Curbstone has quickly risen to the top of the local rock bands in Nebraska. Their unique sound and power produces music that will titillate the ear and send one into convulsions of adrenalin filled ecstasy. Missing out on this power filled band would be a sore mistake.
